Each of the games could be customized with the advertiser's branding and content inside the games. We created custom games for Bearno's Pizza, including a Sudoku game named Pizza-doku which featured their delicious pizza and toppings. Big Idea is an animation production company best known for its computer-animated VeggieTales series of Christian-themed family home videos Big Idea wanted to create games for their web site that complemented the home videos they were producing.
In the second story of the Are You My Neighbor? video, the USS Applepies is in the path of a giant popcorn meteor. Scooter and Junior Asparagus fratically work to fix the ship's engines while the oddball crew members Jimmy and Jerry Gourd jet toward the hurling meteor to try to save the day.
Arisen developed the SpaceCorn online game that featured Jimmy and Jerry Gourd trying to eat enough of the popcorn meteors to save the USS Applepies.

The California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) Frozen website is a retail website where consumers can discover California Pizza Kitchen products, enter contests, find retailers and get coupons. The website was created by Resource/Ammirati, and Arisen did minor maintenance and enhancements to the site as well as helped get automated build processes established for the site.
Cameron Park Zoo is a 52-acre zoo adjacent to the Brazos River in Waco, Texas. Cameron Park Zoo wanted to add fun, educational games and activities to their web site.

Command-Alkon - Ready Mix Concrete Truck Scheduling and Tracking
Alkon Corporation (now Command Alkon) creates software for the ready mix concrete industry throughout the world. When they wanted to transition from a Visual Basic 3 application with a Microsoft Access database to a multi-tiered enterprise application with a SQL Server database, they brought us in to lead the project from its inception and work with the development team on staff. A secondary role of the team was to help formalize a software development life cycle, start a quarterly software release cycle, and enforce project management to allow for the sale of the company by its owner.

Arisen optimized the multi-lingual portions of the web site and helped transition the code base to an HP office in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Hewlett-Packard needed a platform for running contests for large scale printing clients. Arisen helped Resource create the back-end architecture and implementation that allowed print service providers or advertising agencies to submit graphics for the contest in a variety of tracks and multiple languages.
Since contest entries could be submitted using any language, Arisen created an administration workflow tool that could easily export submissions for translation and import translated submission entries back into the system so they could be judged.
Resource had previously created a Graphics Arts Portal for Hewlett-Packard. Arisen added a Hiflex registration form (with multiple translations) to the HP Graphics Arts Portal. We also created a flexible report generator for daily and monthly Hiflex encrypted spreadsheet reports.

Hewlett-Packard has an annual Global Partner Conference which is an invitation-only event. Arisen created the back-end architecture and implementation of the web site that allowed partners to log in to view content and watch on-demand videos from the conference in multiple different languages.
When a consumer purchases genuine HP ink or toner and inserts the cartridges in his/her printer, the printer connects to HP servers to present the consumer with rewards for using genuine HP products.
Resource/Ammirati was responsible for the HP Basic Rewards implementation. Arisen participated in the development of new features and maintenance of the HP Basic Rewards Program website.

In 2013, Arisen updated the database schema and site structure to allow historical event video content. We also added social components such as surveys, comments, and polls to the site.
The HP Cloud Partner Solution Navigator is a website to help customers locate HP partner providers for hosted and managed cloud services. Arisen helped optimize the search experience and create an administration tool that exported content for import on production servers.
The HP Managed Print Services site allows users from small business and enterprise level corporations to evaluate their printing environment and connect with an HP Consultant to help reduce their printing fees.

Ohio Community and Energy Assistance Network (OCEAN) is a web-based solution designed to centralize data collection, reporting mechanisms and perform eligibility determinations for applications to energy assistance programs offered by the State of Ohio.
Joseph Campione creates traditional “Old World” European style Italian breads that are hearth baked in stone ovens and that have a delicate crispy crust with a taste and texture crafted from generations of a baking heritage. To highlight a new product for kids, Joseph Campione wanted to include a free in-pack premium featuring their mascot Mr. Toasty.
Arisen created Mr. Toasty's Kids Games -- a six game set featuring Mr. Toasty. The games were distributed on CD as a premium gift with purchase of the new Campione product at retail locations around the country.

The Kodak Archive Writer was being used by state counties and other government organizations to store public records on microfilm for long-term backup storage. Arisen was asked to write a Windows program that would retrieve documents from an OnBase document imaging system and interface with the Kodak Archive Writer to save the documents to microfilm. The user could batch documents from the OnBase system, and the program would manage the amount of frames left on the microfilm roll as documents were written. The program saved time and cut down on errors and required user interaction as compared to the prior approach of manually scanning and archiving each document individually to meet legal requirements for archival storage. Results Engineering sold the Kodak Archive Writer program to counties across the U.S.

NetJets / Executive Jet Management Charter Availability Scheduling System
NetJets offers fractional ownership and rental of private business jets. Executive Jet Management manages on-demand air charter services and charter aircraft management services. During peak usage periods more charter aircraft are needed to fill the demand for flights.
NetJets/EJM was managing the reservation and scheduling of charter aircraft using Excel. They wanted to continue using Excel as a front-end but wanted a solution that would not be subject to data corruption. Arisen created the availability scheduling system for subcontract and charter flights using an Excel front-end and a new ASP.NET web application. The system saved the company thousands of dollars per day and reduced the generation of executive analytical reports from days to seconds.

Ohio Department of Development – Source File Review
Arisen served as the independent validation and verification reviewer for the work performed by the initial vendor for the OCEAN Phase 1 project. Because Arisen had no contact with the initial vendor, we were able to provide objective feedback regarding the architecture and source code of the system.
Arisen reviewed 900 source files of C# and T-SQL code and submitted a summary report describing good features of the system, suggested security enhancements and recommended optimizations.

Departmental Offender Tracking System (DOTS), Restrictive Housing System
Arisen worked with ODRC to perform business analysis, preliminary database design, and creation of a demonstration website for a new system to manage Restrictive Housing placement, monitoring and workflow within correctional institutions. We also helped upgrade modules in the Departmental Offender Tracking System (DOTS) web application from ASP.NET Web Forms to MVC 5.
The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) has a goal of reducing and eventually eliminating homelessness in Ohio. Arisen helped OHFA define and collect anonymous cross-system data related to people receiving homelessness services across the state of Ohio. We designed and implemented the Ohio Housing Services Data Warehouse and the SSIS packages that import, transform and load data into the data warehouse. We are creating cubes, SSRS reports, and interactive Tableau reports to help analyze trends, identify mobility patterns, and assess the impact of investments in housing and human services to inform funding and policy decisions on the state and local levels.
The Ohio TurfGrass Foundation's mission is to promote the turfgrass industry in Ohio, encourage the further study, research and education of turfgrass science and speak on matters of policy affecting the turfgrass industry.
Arisen created a flash interface to the calendar of events, the current membership database, The Ohio TurfGrass Foundation's trustees and other information that was distributed to their members.
Pacesetter – Website for Advertising Specialties Distributor
Pacesetter was an advertising specialties distributor that needed a website that would integrate the Advertising Specialties Institute (ASI) product catalog of hundreds of thousands of products. Arisen worked with the President of Pacesetter to design and implement the website. It allowed people to search for products that could then be ordered and customized with the client company's logo. Pacesetter was acquired by another company several years after Arisen created the website.
Procter & Gamble often uses promotions when selling their consumer packaged goods at retail locations. P&G wanted a way to quickly create promotions with an online component and an in-store component (call-out, shelf-talker, etc.).
The NTR Group worked with P&G to determine requirements and use cases. Arisen created multiple customizable promotional games in Flash along with a admin web application for building and deploying the promotions. The system allowed P&G to significantly decrease the cost of implementing a promotion and significantly decrease the time from promotional concept inception to retail availability.
Procter & Gamble – Virtual Special Pack Retail Promotion System
Procter & Gamble is a consumer packaged goods manufacturer who was interested in optimizing the creation of "special packs" for sale at retail locations. A “special pack” is a package of two or more items that are bundled together to be sold for a special promotion price at retail (e.g. a shrink-wrapped package of shampoo and conditioner – buy the shampoo and get a 50% discount on the price of the conditioner).
The NTR Group devised an idea of a "virtual special pack" that would give consumers the same benefit but would require no logistics and packaging expense for P&G to create the packs. The packaging was done "virtually" and purchases and discounts were given based on market-basket transactions. Arisen was the architectural designer and implementor of the patent-pending Virtual Special Pack system.

Rayovac was interested in an on-pack promotion that would increase sales of batteries leading up to Christmas. Rhinosoft Interactive negotiated the rights to produce three CDs: Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Sports Edition (for adults), Tomb Raider (for teens), and Disney's Arcade Frenzy (for kids). Each multipack of AA batteries had one of the CDs included as a free premium.
Arisen created the front-end program for each CD that would run when the CD was inserted into a CD drive. Arisen was the technical coordinator responsible for integrating the games and other content onto the CDs. There were 350,000 CDs created for the promotion.
ReCasa Financial Group - Loan Tracking and Invoicing System
ReCasa Financial Group is a financial lending company that provides services to real estate investors. Their rehabilitation loans provide 100% financing for the purchase, improvements and closing costs for 1-4 family non-owner occupied properties.
Arisen worked closely with President and Controller to design ASP.NET workflow system for loan initiation, funding, invoicing, and payoff of specialty financing for residential property rehabilitation market. The system reduced invoice generation from days to minutes and eliminated potential interest calculation errors. Within six months of deployment, ReCasa was processing three times the number of financed loans (something that would not have been feasible with the prior system).

Arisen had previously created the ReCasa Loan System, and in phases 2 and 3, Arisen added new features to the system to help with the underwriting process, reporting, and integration with Salesforce.com.
The ReCasa Loan System is a loan processing system used by the ReCasa staff to assess new loan risks, track loans and interest, perform invoicing, apply payments, produce reports and administer short-term rehab loans.
ReCasa asked Arisen to upgrade the system that was origionally built by Arisen in 2004.
Arisen upgraded the database from SQL 2000 to SQL 2012, upgraded from .NET Framework 1.1 to .NET Framework 4.5, helped moved hosting to Amazon AWS cloud.
ReCasa's New Deal Worksheet was converted from an ActiveX VBA Excel workbook embedded in the web application to an Excel document-level application using C#.
Arisen upgraded and enhanced security in .NET application, optimized the invoicing process and enhanced the fee and payment posting processes and added batch fee support.

Arisen optimized the multi-lingual portions of the web site and helped transition the code base to an HP office in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Hewlett-Packard needed a platform for running contests for large scale printing clients. Arisen helped Resource create the back-end architecture and implementation that allowed print service providers or advertising agencies to submit graphics for the contest in a variety of tracks and multiple languages.
Since contest entries could be submitted using any language, Arisen created an administration workflow tool that could easily export submissions for translation and import translated submission entries back into the system so they could be judged.
Resource had previously created a Graphics Arts Portal for Hewlett-Packard. Arisen added a Hiflex registration form (with multiple translations) to the HP Graphics Arts Portal. We also created a flexible report generator for daily and monthly Hiflex encrypted spreadsheet reports.

When a consumer purchases genuine HP ink or toner and inserts the cartridges in his/her printer, the printer connects to HP servers to present the consumer with rewards for using genuine HP products.

American Red Cross Document Scanning and Management System
The American Red Cross collects blood donations that help millions of patients in need. The donor information must be tracked for every donation that is made.
We created a document management system for scanning and indexing the blood donation forms. After Red Cross personnel scanned the forms in bulk, they could review the forms and enter indexing information to allow for easy search and retrieval later.
Command-Alkon - Ready Mix Concrete Truck Scheduling and Tracking
Alkon Corporation (now Command Alkon) creates software for the ready mix concrete industry throughout the world. When they wanted to transition from a Visual Basic 3 application with a Microsoft Access database to a multi-tiered enterprise application with a SQL Server database, they brought us in to lead the project from its inception and work with the development team on staff. A secondary role of the team was to help formalize a software development life cycle, start a quarterly software release cycle, and enforce project management to allow for the sale of the company by its owner.
Buckeye Boosters is a non-profit, fundraising organization which has been in existence since 1960. Over $3 million in contributions benefit and enhance academics and athletics at The Ohio State University. Buckeye Boosters conducts football away game and bowl game tours along with other special events each season for their members. We helped redesign a web site that allowed online registration for the organization.
Copeland Compressors - Web Order Entry and Tracking System
Copeland is a manufacturer of scroll compressors for refrigeration devices. Copeland needed a new website that would facilitate orders for their compressor products.
Arisen led the design and implementation of an order entry system to be used by distributors of Copeland’s compressor products. The system drastically reduced turn-around time for orders and eliminated errors from the order entry process.
The Kodak Archive Writer was being used by state counties and other government organizations to store public records on microfilm for long-term backup storage. Arisen was asked to write a Windows program that would retrieve documents from an OnBase document imaging system and interface with the Kodak Archive Writer to save the documents to microfilm. The user could batch documents from the OnBase system, and the program would manage the amount of frames left on the microfilm roll as documents were written. The program saved time and cut down on errors and required user interaction as compared to the prior approach of manually scanning and archiving each document individually to meet legal requirements for archival storage. Results Engineering sold the Kodak Archive Writer program to counties across the U.S.
NetJets / Executive Jet Management Charter Availability Scheduling System
NetJets offers fractional ownership and rental of private business jets. Executive Jet Management manages on-demand air charter services and charter aircraft management services. During peak usage periods more charter aircraft are needed to fill the demand for flights.
NetJets/EJM was managing the reservation and scheduling of charter aircraft using Excel. They wanted to continue using Excel as a front-end but wanted a solution that would not be subject to data corruption. Arisen created the availability scheduling system for subcontract and charter flights using an Excel front-end and a new ASP.NET web application. The system saved the company thousands of dollars per day and reduced the generation of executive analytical reports from days to seconds.

Rayovac was interested in an on-pack promotion that would increase sales of batteries leading up to Christmas. Rhinosoft Interactive negotiated the rights to produce three CDs: Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Sports Edition (for adults), Tomb Raider (for teens), and Disney's Arcade Frenzy (for kids). Each multipack of AA batteries had one of the CDs included as a free premium.
Arisen created the front-end program for each CD that would run when the CD was inserted into a CD drive. Arisen was the technical coordinator responsible for integrating the games and other content onto the CDs. There were 350,000 CDs created for the promotion.
Joseph Campione creates traditional “Old World” European style Italian breads that are hearth baked in stone ovens and that have a delicate crispy crust with a taste and texture crafted from generations of a baking heritage. To highlight a new product for kids, Joseph Campione wanted to include a free in-pack premium featuring their mascot Mr. Toasty.

The Memorial Tournament is a PGA Golf Tour tournament, founded 39 years ago in 1976 by Jack Nicklaus. It is played on a Nicklaus-designed course at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio, a suburb north of his home town of Columbus.
The Memorial Tournament Clubhouse Kids wanted to have a set of games for kids who were members of The Memorial Tournament Clubhouse Kids Club.
Arisen created a Kids Club game zone featuring games with the Memorial Tournament Clubhouse Kids Club mascot named Dimples. These customized games were part of the game zone: Sliding Puzzle, Maze Chase, Wordsearch, and Pyramid Solitaire games.
Procter & Gamble often uses promotions when selling their consumer packaged goods at retail locations. P&G wanted a way to quickly create promotions with an online component and an in-store component (call-out, shelf-talker, etc.).
The NTR Group worked with P&G to determine requirements and use cases. Arisen created multiple customizable promotional games in Flash along with a admin web application for building and deploying the promotions. The system allowed P&G to significantly decrease the cost of implementing a promotion and significantly decrease the time from promotional concept inception to retail availability.
Procter & Gamble – Virtual Special Pack Retail Promotion System
Procter & Gamble is a consumer packaged goods manufacturer who was interested in optimizing the creation of "special packs" for sale at retail locations. A “special pack” is a package of two or more items that are bundled together to be sold for a special promotion price at retail (e.g. a shrink-wrapped package of shampoo and conditioner – buy the shampoo and get a 50% discount on the price of the conditioner).
The NTR Group devised an idea of a "virtual special pack" that would give consumers the same benefit but would require no logistics and packaging expense for P&G to create the packs. The packaging was done "virtually" and purchases and discounts were given based on market-basket transactions. Arisen was the architectural designer and implementor of the patent-pending Virtual Special Pack system.

The Ohio State University Alumni Association was getting a new customer relationship management system name AIM. Data needed to be synchronized daily from an older non-relational database store (named IMPACT) to the relational SQL Server data store for AIM. Arisen served as the technical lead and managed the technical tasks and activities of the team that completed the IMPACT to AIM Database Synchronization project.

Managing in the Zone (MITZ) is an ASP.NET web application that provides a diagnostic technique that combines evaluation, visualization and decision making. It provides an easy way for managers to rate employees along two dimensions and accurately detect the intersecting point between “knowledge & skills” and “attitude, desire, & commitment”. The resulting scores allow individuals to be plotted into one of four “zones”. These zones then define the performance improvement maps that guide managers to pinpoint areas of improvement and help them follow a prescribed game plan to help the employee improve along these dimensions.

Xenos Christian Fellowship Rock RMS Implementation
Xenos Christian Fellowship had created their own custom church management system over the past 25 years but were looking to upgrade to newer technology. Unfortunately, off-the-shelf church management systems were never flexible enough to allow Xenos to upgrade without sacrificing features and processes in their current system. So no upgrade happened – year after year, Xenos kept adding enhancements but were stuck with older technology. Then Rock RMS showed up on the scene. Rock’s highly customizable data and extensible architecture allowed Xenos to finally pursue an upgrade. Xenos partnered with Arisen to get the job done.
